Today SLASH announced that he had left his
record label, Interscope/Geffen. SLASH said the split was amicable.
He didn't think the company had the expertise with rock labels to
really promote Ain't Life Grand. The label has become very
hip hop oriented and would not know enough about rock stations,
magazines, etc. to adequately promote the new SLASH's Snakepit album.
SLASH has been approached by several labels, and he is close to
signing with one of them. When he does, the album will be released.
The album should be out in May.
