OCTOBER 9,1999
SLASH will be performing with Puff Daddy
at the NetAid concert today. NetAid is an organization created to alleviate
extreme poverty in the world and promote development. Three concerts will
be held today: the US, England at Wembly, and in Geneva at Palaid des
Nations. Performers in the US include Black Crowes, Sting, Counting
Crows, Jon Bon Jovi, Wyclef Jean with Bono and others.
SLASH promised to
"play my ass off!" The concert is televised on VH-1 for 8 hours beginning
at 2 pm eastern time. You can also go to cybercast sites at www.mtv.com
and www.netaid.org. There will also be radio broadcasts. SLASH is looking
forward to a much needed break from recording. He has lots of friends there and
is ready to do this show!
