Hi there, I haven't sent any e-mails in for a while and thought i would let you know about the concert me and my son went to see. Velvet revolver played the SECC in Glasgow on the 9th of June. After 2 support bands velvet revolver came on the first person on stage was Duff, he stood infront of us and looked fantastic he is in great shape, as are all the band. They kicked off with some amazing songs off of their contraband album.I have waited 15 years to see Slash and it was worth it. The whole band rocked big time everybody was on top form, half way through the show Scott started to talk about the rumours in the music press about VR splitting up, he said don't believe what you read, the music press used to be behind the musicians supporting them and now they have turned against them. The crowd went wild, he said as long as the people turned up they would turn up and play. They played a fantastic rendition of Pink Floyds wish you were here it was almost better that the original. The last song they played was Slither which had everybody singing and dancing, they played it's so easy and mr brownstone. Overall the concert was amazing i will see them again live, i watched AC\DC a few years ago in the same place and i couldn't tell you who was better live. true legends with a respect for the fans. I watched the download festival highlights and they only showed 1 song from VR, the guys rocked as hard as ever. There weren't any interviews with the band but Kerrang music channel in the uk are showing different things from the festival this week. I also downloaded a 30 min video of VR playing sonicmania in Japan, it shows how hard the guys rock, there are about 6 or 7 songs on the video and the video was professionally recorded by MTV. Hope everybody is ok and i can't wait for the next thing to come from VR. Keep the hard work up. Dave UK
