My name is Fiona Gibson and I live in Hamilton, Scotland and on tuesday the 31st august I saw the best 
gig of my life! I saw Velvet Revolver play at the Carling Academy in Glasgow. 
I was 4 people from the front row therefore I got a great view, I could feel the anticipation in the crowd 
of people not knowing what to expect but also the excitement of people finally getting to see Slash and
 Duff in the flesh!
the backyard babies were the support act, they were good, I have seen them before. 
Velvet Revolver exploded onto the stage at 9.30pm, the crowd all went wild!! It was a fantastic feeling! 
Scott Weiland is a genius I loved him in the Stone Temple Pilots and I was saddened when they went their
 separate ways but it was great to see him in this new band, he commanded the crowd as he always does.
 Most of the osngs on the new album were played and they sneakily through in Sextype thing and 
crackerman and also used to love her, which was a delight ot hear, I'd never ever thought I would hear 
that live but magic does happen and also Its so easy was played.
The show was 2 hours long and it has to be one of the best shows I have been to! I cant wait for when
 they tour again, I hear they are doing a signing in London its just a shame that they did not do a signing in 
Glasgow as that would have made my year and I am probably speaking for every other fan out there.
