From Nick: Hey Linda, thought you might like to know how the VR show in glasgow was. Me and 7 of my friends got our tickets the day they came out and we've been building up to seeing Slash and the boys since the early gnr days. I went down to the venue about 1pm hoping to meet the band, there was quite a lot of people down there(most of these little dicks were bringing out gnr records n stuff to get signed, which pissed off the true VR fans. eBay is having a shockin effect on music cos all these cowboys selling autographed stuff. Its sucks). Sadly the band must have got held up and didnt arrive til about 4.30pm and just went straight in. Matt and Duff came and hung out for a little while, but Slash, Dave and Scott stayed in. The backyard babies put on a great opener for VR and had the crowd pumped up. The whole downstairs area was absolutely packed and the atmosphere was totally amazing. When VR came out they got a massive response and cracked into Sucker Train Blues, then followed! pretty much the same set as the rest of the tour. But we got 'Used to Love Her' instead of Mr Brownstone, which was cool, but scott didnt realy look like he was into it too much. The band played brilliantly, they were on top form and the crowd was going crazy. Another highlight was the extended jamming on the end of slither and set me free. There was obviosly a few new ones being tested out there! On stage they were all diving around and really put on a show. They ended the set with Negative Creep and at the end there crowd just didnt want to leave. Our clothes were so wet with sweat that it was like we'd been swimming in them, and weve all got headbangers neck today. Thats the signs of a great gig! Overall, it was a great night of rock n roll, the band sound really pumped and the fans are definately all out here in Scotland. Hopefully they enjoyed it and they'll come back again on the next tour. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this wee review linda, thanks for keepin it real with your slash site for all these years. You rule, dude! Take it easy, Nick
