For the Portland show we did the I love all Access deal. It was well worth it. All of us were a little hesitant spending the extra money but we did not regret it. Going to sound check is an amazing thing. I will never forget the feeling of walking out into an empty arena and it's you and 30 others (the group of people) and the band. Scott Weiland was not at sound check so we were able to hear the music without the vocals. To listen to just the music is a rare opportunity becasue you are really able to absorb what each musician is playing in each and every song. There were so many things that I had never notices in the songs before becasue they are so over shadowed by vocals on the album. The different things that Slash and Dave do are incredible. I am able to pick up on a lot of the extra "fill" that Slash contibutes to the songs now on the album. The band is real interactive with the group during sound check. Especially Duff. He's a pretty funny just down to earth guy talked with the group of us through out the sound check. We were able to get our pictures taken with the band and briefly meet the band. unfortunately sound check went longer so we didn't get to meet and greet like some of the other shows were able to. They played all of the songs on the album except Loving the Alien and the same STP and GNR covers that they have been playing. The concert was awesome a lot of energy and it was cool to see the huge VR light up display. THe Everett show we just did the general admission thing. Again a great show. They played the same set list. Again a great time. I was disappointed in myself that i didn't make the trip out to Boise for the third night in a row but couldn;t find anyone to make the trip out with me. So if VR is now on the OZZfest tour will they still be playing Vegas and Tuscon in August? I am hoping to get down there for these shows....especially Vegas.
