Well, I ended up being selected to go to the Slither video shoot. I have to say it was awesome. I never thought I would get so close to the band as I did yesterday. I have met Slash a couple times before (during Snakepit), but I had never met Duff N' Matt, until yesterday. As I was waiting outside with the other extras, Matt came outside with a cameraman from MTV and shook my and my friend's hands and thanked us for coming for the shoot. What a cool guy!. Also, the set was awesome, the stage was in an abandoned basement and the surrounding was totally raw and dangerous. I was only a few feet away from the stage so I got a great view of the whole band. It was magical, they looked so bad ass and the chemistry was amazing. Scott looked awesome and healthy as well and seemed to be having a great time. Slash, he looks beter than ever, I was so happy to see him healthy, lean, and ready to rock. As Slash came off the stage during the break I shook his hand and told him "good job". During the break as my friend and i were walking around the set we ran into Duff, and were able to shake hands and say hi to him, he was way cool. Even though they were busy as hell Duff was still gracious enough to say Hi and thank us for coming, what a class act! The cool part about the whole shoot was watching the band be themselves, it was cool getting sort of a behind the scenes look at everything. Its times like these you realize that no matter how famous and amazing a band is, in the end theyre still regular people just like all of us. Perla and Susan Holmes were also there to watch the band rock out! Overall it was an awesome experience, it didn't really sink in until this morning, I realized that I met my favorite musicians in the world. Oh, and Slither, it is a great song with a great groove and vibe, cant wait for the video and the album to come out. I would like to thank Velvet Revolver and the whole video crew for making it possible for us fans to come down and share the magic with the band. Zeeshan
