If you had your cd booklet, you'd have the lyrics, but when someone asks you at a club...hey, did SLASH write any of those Snakepit songs by himself?....it's hard to answer "Be The Ball" unless you're a master of SLASH trivia. Ever since SLASH's Snakepit finished its tour in 1995, fans have been asking for another tour. SLASH was just having fun with Snakepit, waiting for GNR to get rolling again. But when SLASH and Axl Rose reached the point where they could not agree on the musical direction of the next album, that was when SLASH started SLASH's Blues Ball, a cover band. He decided to get SLASH's Snakepit together with an entirely new group of guys. There's SLASH on lead guitar, Ryan Roxie on rhythm guitar, Matt Laug on drums, Rod Jackson on lead vocals, and Johnny Griparik on bass. The tour is beginning for the public in February 1999. Get out and see them! CLICK ON THE PICTURE BELOW:

The work he did with GNR may be found on the GNR page, but to see the rest of his works, you'll need this list... CLICK ON THE CD SINGLE BELOW FROM SLASH AND MARTA SANCHEZ:

At one time SLASH characterized himself as very shy. If you see him being interviewed in 1988 or so, his hair is over his face and he looks at the floor. How times have changed! SLASH can be seen on TV, in movies and on videos - and you don't get to do that if the audience can't see your face! SLASH seems right at home in front of the camera, and he really does a very good job! If you want to see a list of SLASH appearances in movies, TV and on video, just CLICK ON SLASH APPEARING ON THE HENDRIX VIDEO:

At the end of October 1996, SLASH resigned from Guns N'Roses. The outcry from his own fans and GNR fans has ranged from shock to sadness. In a bitter dispute with Axl Rose over the musical direction of the band, SLASH has chosen to go his own way.

SLASH formed his own cover band called SLASH's Blues Ball to keep his hand in while waiting for something more permanent to take his interest. The band played clubs and did short tours of the East and West Coasts as well as some outlying places like Nevada, Texas, a gig in Louisiana, and a short mid-west tour. The band continued as a one-off from time to time while SLASH got ready to let the new Snakepit out of its basket. It seems almost every day brings some news about where SLASH is and what he's doing. Without the huge GNR publicity machine, you might think SLASH would not be in the news, but he is a friendly guy who gives interviews and talks to fans freely. Hardly a rock magazine comes out without at least a picture of our favorite guitarist. In this section are SLASH sightings and news about SLASH! Check this section often to keep up with this guy!
